Welcome to Happy Days Sauna. We are excited to have you here. Please read the following carefully before booking your session. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not proceed with your booking.

Privacy & GDPR

Your privacy matters to us. We do not store credit card or sensitive personal data. All payment information is securely handled through our payment provider. Any personal details collected are used solely for membership and booking purposes and will never be shared or sold to third parties.

Sauna Use – Rules & Safety Guidelines

1. Eligibility & Health

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the sauna.

• Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or if feeling unwell.

• Consult your GP before use if you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, or are taking medication.

• Entry is entirely at your own risk.

2. Session Times

• Sauna sessions are 30, 60, or 90 minutes long.

• We recommend a break every 10–15 minutes to cool down or enjoy a swim before re-entering.

3. Hygiene & Attire

• Please shower before entering the sauna.

Swimwear is required. Avoid lotions, oils, or metal in clothing (e.g., zips, clips).

• Sit on a clean towel and avoid using the sauna with open wounds or contagious skin conditions.

• Remove all jewellery before entering as metal can become dangerously hot.

4. Respect & Conduct

• Keep noise to a minimum. Loud conversations or disruptive behaviour are not permitted.

No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or illegal substances are allowed inside or around the sauna.

• Please be kind, respectful, and mindful of others.

5. Safety Tips

• Stay hydrated before and after your session. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.

• If you feel dizzy, faint, or unwell, exit the sauna immediately and alert a staff member.

• Do not hang clothes or towels inside the sauna — this is a fire hazard.

• The sea is used at your own risk. Ensure you are a confident swimmer and aware of local conditions.

Responsibilities & Disclaimer

6. Use at Your Own Risk

• Sauna use involves exposure to high temperatures and comes with inherent risks. By entering, you accept full responsibility for any injury or discomfort that may occur, unless caused by negligence on our part.

• You agree not to hold Happy Days Sauna or its staff liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage during your visit.

7. Damage & Cleanliness

• Please leave the space as you found it and dispose of waste in bins provided.

• Report any damage or malfunction to staff immediately.

• You are responsible for any damage caused by your actions.

Bookings & Cancellations

8. Booking Terms & Conditions

  • Advance bookings are required.

  • Happy Days Sauna reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone for health, safety, or behavioural reasons. Refunds will not be issued in such cases.

9. Cancellations by Customers

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to happydays@smerc.ie. Cancellations made by phone, social media, or in person will not be accepted.

  • Cancellations made 3 days (72 hours) or more prior to the scheduled appointment time are eligible for a full refund or a full credit, at the customer’s choice.

  • Please note that a non-refundable payment-processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Alternatively, you may choose to use the full payment as credit at Happy Days Sauna.

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time are eligible for a full credit only.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time are not eligible for a refund or credit.

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows or for appointments missed due to late arrival.

10. Cancellations by Happy Days Sauna

  • In the event that Happy Days Sauna must cancel an appointment for any reason, customers will be offered the choice of a full refund or a full credit.

11. Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable once purchased.

  • Voucher bookings are subject to the same cancellation notice periods outlined above.

  • If a voucher booking is cancelled within the permitted cancellation period, the value will be returned as a voucher credit, not a cash refund.

  • Vouchers must be redeemed before their expiry date and cannot be extended.

12. General Terms

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method where possible and may take several business days to appear.

  • Credits and vouchers are non-transferable, have no cash value, and must be used in a single transaction unless otherwise stated.

  • By making a booking or redeeming a voucher, customers confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
